Painting study inspired by the great master John Singer Sargent. During ancient times artists have always turned to copying masters they admired, to get a sense of how they worked and their thought process.
Sargent was an artist that had a unique ability to capture the inner psychology of the subject. I wanted to try to capture the brush expressions that you normally see in his paintings to suggest those inner thoughts of Ms. Inches. I wonder what she was thinking?
